Article Processing Charges (APCs) and Publication Fees
Publication Policy
AL-Qadisiyah Journal of Biotechnology (QJBT) is an academic, peer-reviewed journal published by the University of Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq. The journal is published quarterly, with four regular issues released each year in:
- March
- June
- September
- December
QJBT accepts original scientific manuscripts throughout the year within the journal's stated aims and scope. All submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening followed by peer review to ensure scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the field of biotechnology.
Publication Fees
QJBT applies the following publication fee policy:
- International Authors (Outside Iraq): Publication is free of charge. No article processing charge (APC) is required for accepted manuscripts submitted by authors from outside Iraq.
- Local Authors (Within Iraq): An article processing charge (APC) of 100,000 Iraqi Dinars (IQD) is applied to accepted manuscripts.
Payment Policy
QJBT does not charge submission or peer-review fees. Authors are not required to make any payment when submitting a manuscript or while it is undergoing peer review.
Where applicable, the APC is requested only after the manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and received final acceptance for publication. Payment of an APC does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or acceptance of manuscripts.
All editorial decisions are based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and relevance of the submitted work to the scope of QJBT.
